Servanthood
We must “look out for the things of others” (Phil. 2:3, 4). We are to be servants to each other as we encourage, support, and affirm one another. Everyone should have the attitude, “How can I help someone else do his or her best?”
“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in
humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you
should look not only to your own interests, but also to the
interests of others.” Phil. 2:3-4 (NIV)
Enduring Spirit
When you are tired, hot and surrounded by the unfamiliar, it is easy to get discouraged. Remember just as the Lord gave of Himself and gave up His comforts in order to serve us, we can do the same.
Personal Growth
If your ministry team on the field is going to grow, you must grow first. For this reason daily prayer and Bible reading is essential to you. You must be growing and being stretched by God so that you will contribute spiritual perspectives to the ministries you are involved in.
